Condition:
Oil on canvas with what looks to be a recent very shiny varnish, the black of the hair and dress are very clearly delineated and have the appearance of later paint as does the red back ground, this might just be due to the relatively recent cleaning/restoration. Attribution plaque on the associated gilt scroll frame with artist name inscribed verso.
