Oil on panel in good honest untouched condition, paint very dirty, a little fine craquelure showing in the darker tones of the paint within the dress, no craquelure elsewhere, signed and dated lower right, housed in an old but later moulded gilt frame, the original title has been preserved verso along with a Christies stamp GY933 and an old lot label dated 12 November 1987, when this lot is thought to have been acquired as lot number 166, since then been in a private collection and comes for sale as part of a deceased estate.
