Cleaned, relined and restored in the past 10 years or so, canvas remains tight, varnish a little shiny, signs of fine but stable craquelure having run throughout the work which as part of the restoration has been retouched with the cracks filled in, this has been fairly successfully achieved however there is a greyish patch at 12 o'clock and another greyish patch towards the top right corner which clearly shows as overpainting. Signed, dated and inscribed lower left, housed in probably the original gilt gesso frame which looks to have been restored and is in good order.
