Guglielmo de Angelis. A composite stone on rectangular marble base, "Woman on a horse", height 23in. length 28in. (a.f.)
Estimate £200-300
A little dirty with a few paint splash marks scattered throughout, the woman's left arm has damage running through the upper section, there is a crack and probably infact this is from an old patched repair, at one point her arm looks to have completely been broken away near the shoulder and various cracks run down through the length of the arm, please see or request additional photographs. The lower right leg equally has cracks running down through it, the tip of that foot is missing. Left leg has a crack running right through the thigh but not appear to have been off, the horse shows some cracking running through the back rear leg, attachment to the plinth is solid, there are what might me glue marks near where each hoof meets the marble plinth, signed on the side of the plinth. Signed on the side of the plinth and dated '63.
