Oil on canvas relined probably 10 - 20 years ago, canvas remains tight, stretcher is a little loose in the frame, paint looks rather dirty with a fine craquelure running throughout which is just starting to lift in place, marking is more notable around the stretcher marks, there has been some retouching top left corner, in the sky above the bull's head and there is other small spots including above the bull's neck, inscription lower left along with signature and date, housed in a Victorian birds eye maple frame which may well be the original, no further labels or inscriptions verso, comes for sale as part of a private collection of sporting pictures.
