Frederick Samuel Beaumont (1833-1899), watercolour, portrait of W.H Hall of Nassau, Bahamas, signed and inscribed, 19 x 15cm William Henry Hall was born in 1817 in Nassau, Bahamas to Joseph Hall and Ann Sarah Thompson Hall.

He married Margaret Michell, daughter of Richard Alexander Slocombe Michell of the Royal Navy and Ann Mackey, 3 May 1836 in Nassau, Bahamas. The couple had children - among them Edward Michell, Letitia Ann, Edward Michell, Alicia Julia, Ellen Margaret, William Henry Jr., Agnes Mary, John Lees, Alp Arslan, and Clara Louisa Hall.

William Henry Hall was a banker who eventually moved to St. Kitts with his family.

He joined The Royal Colonial Institute in 1878.

W H Hall died in St. Kitts 13 March 1891 at 73 years of age. He was buried in a cemetery owned by Saint Thomas Anglican Church on Old Road, Middle Island, which is a village on the west coast of Saint Kitts.
