Four Japanese ivory carvings, late 19th / early 20th century, the first an okimono of four graduated elephants on each others backs, 13.5cm, two manju netsuke, the first intaglio carved with a figure with a horse emerging from a gourd, the other with a man seated smoking a pipe, 4.5cm & 3cm, the fourth a netsuke of a man with a staff over his shoulder supporting a tortoise and a daruma doll, unsigned, 5.4cm (4)

Large manju netsuke has concentric age cracks and two tiny nicks to the underside edge, the small manju netsuke which may infact be a button, there is a few minor scratches and is a little grubby, the netsuke of a man carrying a tortoise and daruma doll on his back has age cracks to the ivory which the carver has hidden with incised decoration, and the okimono group of four elephants probably had a further elephant on top of the smallest elephant with some remants of its legs with some glue residue on top.
