Condition:
Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint rather dry with a pronounced craquelure running throughout which is just starting to lift, otherwise rather dirty, painted to the oval and housed in a 17th century style frame of some age, Christie's stencil numbers 464ER and RX96S along with other chalk marks. Overall size 80 x 71cm. Provenance: Private Collection from a French chateau.
