Oil on canvas cleaned relined and restored within the past 10 years or so, canvas remains tight, slight stretcher marks showing around the oval, paint is clean with a fine but stable craquelure throughout the skin and lighter tones, housed in 18th century style carved gilt gesso frame which has lost some of the floral mouldings, a hand inscribed label verso giving details of the sitter.
This came in for sale with Lot 494 as its companion.
