Lot 1054 , Five Victorian cases of taxidermy including a swift, a bat, etc.
Five Victorian cases of taxidermy including a swift, a bat, etc.
Estimate £250-350
ex Congelow House
There are five Victorian cases.
One of the cases - the glass has been smashed into a few pieces and a chunk of the timber at the top on the curve is missing, feathers of the bird inside the case are also rather ruffled and there is glue residue around the legs.
Another of the cases with birds has a chunk missing from one of the back corners at the top and a chip to the bottom edge.
Another case appears to have been apart at some point, no damage to the glass but there is tape down one of the joins at the front and a gap down the other.
The other cases have several scuffs and scratches and could use a clean.
