Note: First published (in Dutch) Amsterdam, 1678; this edition was based on the Spanish which (perhaps not surprisingly) had taken liberties with the original text; Morgan bringing a successful libel suit against the printers.

Binding vol.1 red sprinkled edges, blind ruled covers; vol.2 marbled edges and no. blind ruling; vol.1 - upper joint tender, both vols. lt. bds. and spine wear; both vols with some light marginal soiling / stains - just touching catchwords / text. All plates and pages present. Text good, bar staining to lower right margins pp.49-114 and 105-150 and pp. 55 to end in part III. vol. I. Text to vol. 2 good. 3cm closed tear to plate 'Battle between the Spaniards'.
