A large folio measuring 19 x 24.5in, covered in spotted cloth loosely stuck over marbled boards, first page inscribed with details of the artists work, contains 52 watercolours and 8 pencil drawings, the vast majority being of Views in India, each page is made up of four thin sheets of paper stuck together, the pages themselves are now heavily foxed and acid stained, condition of the watercolours and drawings is variable, some in very fresh bright order, others with fox marking and water stains, all of the watercolours are stuck down, some are now starting to lift away, only one appears to be missing.
