Condition:
Oil on panel in honest untouched condition, very slight outward bulge in the middle. Paint a little dirty with a fine craquelure really only noticeable in the blue of the sky. A little bitumous bubbling in the dark up folds of the clothing. Signed and dated lower left, housed in what may well be the original laurel leaf frame, now overpainted and with cracking at the corners. Label for Lionel Marks Fine Art of New Bond Street verso.
