Condition:
Oils on artist-boards; single dog with vertical scratch above nose, clearly visible; seven small white flakes of the oil; background seems paler in areas above dog’s head, perhaps a previous amateur cleaning attempt. Frame bead and billet moulding chipped upper right corner; dirty with light rubs to all mouldings. Two dogs painting dark rubs upper left and a circular damp-stain alongside these rubs, approx. 6mm diameter; frame mitre joints need tightening; lower corners chipped; light scratches to all four mouldings. Both paintings unglazed and have become dirty.
