Oil on canvas relined in the past 10 - 20 years or so, canvas remains tight, paint looks a little dirty with a pronounced but stable craquelure running throughout, no knowledge as to who the sitter may be, comes for sale from a local private collection, housed in an old but probably not the original gilt gesso frame which is in good order.
Provenance - local private collection - no knowledge of who sitter is.
