Good looking set, front free endpaper x 2, initial blanks loose vol I, spines mellowed to brown, without the publisher's 32pp catalogue, text with only a few marginal marks, generally clean, all vols with bk label of Robert Cram Bacon (pasted over and obscuring another), with the commemorative birth centenary aongside, the engraved portrait from a photograph, Smith 14 - with all 13 'flaws' from vols 1 and 2 present, the first 6 (of 12) from vol 3 (the latter 6 corrected), no half titles were issued for this title, pagination as Smith details, the binding has reduced the page size to 18.9 x 11cms (from 19.7 x 12.4cm)
