David Smith (British, 1930-1999), impasto on board, No.2 Proteas, signed and dated 1970, 122 x 92cm. Provenance; from the artists' studio. Condition - fair to good. David Smith was born in Lowestoft and exhibited around the world. He wrote several books and travelled as an artist on the QEII, with the British Antarctic Survey and painted the lighthouses for Trinity House.
