Crundwell of Tunbridge Wells. A George III mahogany thirty hour longcase clock, with repainted 11 inch square dial, 6ft 6in.
Estimate £300-400
Overall case has the appearance of having seen some restoration with the past 20 - 30 years or so, a mid / reddy brown colour, would probably benefit from a good polish, top of the case may have seen some reconstruction and adaption and has recessess where brass finials may once have been fitted, dial - the spandrels look to be the original gilt and painted flowers but the remainder is to be renewed although long ago enough to now be rather dirty, certainly the subsidiary numerals look later as does the naming, hands are oxidised, movement complete and was running in the property, comes with a pendulum and cast iron weight but no trunk key.
