There is a fair amount of wear to the silvered coating in general, mostly visible on the right forearm, back and both legs of the shearer. No visible damage to the metal.
There is some damage to the base, the back section of the right side panel has been restored. There are at least 5 chips around the top of the base and at least 4 around the bottom of the base. Underneath the base, 3 of the corner angles have visible cement?? reinforcement.
