Condition:
Oil on canvas relined within the past 20 years or so, canvas remains tight, paint a little dirty with a fine but stable craquelure running throughout, various signs of retouching to old dents and knocks mostly in the dark background but also near his shoulder and down the left side of his jacket, modern gilt frame, Christie's stencil number 614ZD on the stretcher.
