Chinese school, 18th / 19th century, painting on silk of two ladies observing a bird on a perch, amid rockwork and beneath a prunus tree, inscribed lower right, 27.5 x 25cm., within later brocade pattern borders and mounted in an early 20th century Chinese rosewood frame, 34cm.

Generally discoloured, the silk has been laid down on silk, 2cm tear at the top of the picture, there is a small disguised hole above branches of tree, there are four similar small holes in front of the ladies around the fence, some whiteish patches in places.
