Lot 1321 , Charles Edward Brittan (1870-1949) Moorland scenes, 14 x 20.5in.
Charles Edward Brittan (1870-1949)
pair of watercolours,
Moorland scenes,
signed,
14 x 20.5in.
Estimate £200-300
Watercolour on paper that looks fairly flat and may well be laid down, no doubt some slight fading but overall colours remain strong, a number of fine small scattered dirts specks along with a few fox marks on the view with the yellow gorse on the right hand side, both signed - one lower left one lower right, under glass in rather tatty looking white stained wood frames, no labels or inscriptions verso, much of the dirt noted is insect dirt lying on the work rather than sinking into the paint, really the only proper fault is the light foxing on one of the works.
