Cesare Roccheggiani of Rome. A micromosaic mounted ormolu casket, the cover depicting the ruins of the Forum Romanum, the sides with champleve enamel vineous decoration, on four ball feet, the silk lining inscribed C. ROCCHEGGIANI ROMA in gilt, 3in. H.1.75in.

Is late 19th century and has some minute nicks to the edge of the black slate surround of the micro mosaic plaque, the lid is slightly bent around the hinge, two of the ball feet are slightly bent in, the card base panel is slightly worn, otherwise in reasonable condition.
