Bullock of Bradford. A Regency brass inset ebonised bracket clock, 25in.

Estimate £1,000-1,500

Bullock family of Bradford recorded c.1740-1845

Overall case has a dark and slightly dullish finish and would benefit from a polish, one slither missing from the back edge of the top finial, brass stringing tot he top dome sitting slightly proud, front of the clock has a number of fine cracks running through the veneer mostly horizontally, dial looks original but heavily crazed, rather dirty with chip repairs around the winding holes, no keys present to secure the bezel or glazed front door, side handles and grilles oxidised but original and intact. Back door splitting around the edges as well as fine vertical cracks running through the veneer to the back, comes with a key, movement in good clean condition, looks to have been overhauled in recent years, bell perhaps a later addition, certainly the nut holding it in place is, overall a good clock in need of some cosmetic restoration.
