Condition:
Original oil on canvas which remains tight. Paint is dirty with lines of craquelure running horizontally between 8 and 4 o'clock; small flake of paint to the back of her hair, as seen in image. Carved giltwood frame is 19th century. Remnant of label verso. Stretcher is Continental, 51 x 42cm. fixings to the frame are later, other fixings for a different stretcher are also present so the label/frame may be associated to the work. Private local vendor.
