Condition:
Oil on board with very dark blue paint making it fairly hard to see the image, appears to be unsigned, a light scuff mark in the lower right corner, housed in a later plain gilt frame with an old Ryman & Co label retained verso. We are told that this work (or a photograph of it) was shown to the artist in 2011. To the surprise of the person showing it - the artist said that it was not by his hand. We are told that the current compiler of the catalogue raisonne has said it looks right (from a photograph). An inscription Lulaby was on the back at the time of the sale in 2011. Buyers must satisfy themselves as to the originality of the work which due to the varying opinions is now being sold as seen.
