Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint looks very dirty with a fine but stable craquelure showing in places, no sign of any signature, housed in an equally dirty and discoloured cream painted frame, Christie's stencil number 398BP verso along with a typed letter giving a provenance of Dr Edward Washburn of San Francisco California and The Anderson / Belleroche connection.
