Relined approx 30 years ago or so. Canvas shows slight stretcher marks. Paint rather dark and dirty with a fine but stable craquelure throughout. Old gilt attribution plaque and old carved giltwood frame. Label verso for Arthur Tooth no.971
Attribution is based on the plaque upon the frame and the Arthur Tooth & Sons label on the back.
Comes for sale from a private family collection and has been in that collection for at least 30 years.
