Gouache on paper which has been laid onto a thick card backing, small dirt spots scattered across the work, and some areas of rubbing or wear to the paint again scattered throughout but notable to the left above the buildings and in the dark brown and greens of the hillside near the water, one or two old worm holes showing towards the bottom probably some retouching of the sky from the top right corner running across towards the left, no sign of any signature or inscriptions, housed under glass in an old gilt gesso frame, Christie's number verso 274TL.
