Oil on original canvas which remains tight but shows some stretcher marks particularly across the top and the left, fine but stable craquelure running through much of the paint, no other faults noted, AW monogram lower right corner, and the name of the artist inscribed on the back of the canvas, housed in a fair quality giltwood frame which has some small restorations, separations at the corners and some rubbing.
This work has been shown to the artist's daughter who said she could not say either way whether it was or wasn't her father's work, hence the attribution.
