Condition:
Untouched for many years, possibly totally original. Canvas is not relined and remains tight. Paint has pronounced craquelure lines running in the blue of the sky but little elsewhere. Paint above the figures on the left looks overpainted but this may just have been the artists reworking. Under glass in the original gilt gesso scroll frame which has been over-painted and has a few losses.
