Lot 218 , An unusual gold and pearl bracelet, early 20th century

An unusual gold and pearl bracelet, early 20th century

An unusual gold and pearl bracelet, early 20th century, composed of Baroque pearls in intricate wire cagework, connected by links of knotted design, suspending a similar pearl pendant, length approximately 18.5cm, faintly stamped 15C, pearls untested, gross weight 13 grams
£300-500

Condition:
Baroque pearls possibly natural due to date, possibly freshwater from appearance, but not tested and this opinion is not guaranteed. Nacre with complex texture, each pearl different but overall well-matched, nice lustre. Cagework contoured to each pearl and beautifully made - the pearls do not move within it. Some minor patches of dark solder to links. Overall a beautiful, interesting example in good condition.
