Condition:
Pendulum suspension damaged so cannot be attached and set going but the suspension link is retained; case with two light cracks to veneers at 3 and 9. Silvered brass dial diameter 25.5cm, within cast brass bezel. Bezel secured by a sliding catch. Back of movement frontplate with two redundant holes at area behind rotating date-ring; no redundant holes in backplate but there are a few circular filled holes to the backplate that do not line-up with a purpose. Three redundant holes in back of brass dial, see eighth image. Pendulum adjusting nut is above the pendulum bob. Pendulum does seem to be original. Not seen any damage to pinions/collets. Four-wheel strike train has been activated and evidenced. Calendar wheel complete. Mock pendulum correctly attached to escape wheel. Strange to have mock pendulum to dial when pendulum bob is visible in the drop-dial section of the case. Bar securing the crutch is marginally above the top of the backplate. Left screw securing crutch is smaller than the right screw. Fusee barrel pinions are not obviously different. Provenance private local.
