An unusual Art Nouveau silver gilt and enamel pendant, circa 1900, modelled as a hawk moth in flight, its legs grasping a pearl, its eyes set with green paste cabochons, its wings tipped with split pearls, its wings and body modelled in silver, applied with translucent orange, white and green enamel, suspended from two chains, total length 5.7cm, stamped DEPOSÉ STERLING, unidentified insect maker's mark, bail with indistinct marks
