Much of the cage is in iron which now has oxidised with an even rust tone throughout, the loop finial at the top is bronzed brass with a dull coloured finish, the edging and door to the cage have a gilt finish and are in fair matted gilt condition, feathers of the bird are a little tatty, upon winding and moving the lever the bird does sing, flap its tail, turn its head and open and close its beak so does appear to working properly, bottom of the cage is dirty discoloured fabric, sides of the cage are slightly faded particularly to one side with gilt work in in good order. comes with what looks like an original key, overall fair to good condition.
