The back of the desk with a good rich dark satinwood tone but bleached across the front and particularly down the front off the left side, this shows equally on the top where the leather is more faded on the left than right, and has a number of water ring and wear marks, central drawer has an escutcheon but was never fitted for a lock, the top flanking drawers both have original locks but no key, top right drawer has loose ormolu banding, pedestal drawers although looking like three are actually two drawers, the top drawer with compartment division and the deep base drawers with divided interiors, minor wear around the edges and base commensurate with use but really other than the fading overall in good condition.
