Note: The brewery at Hadlow, Kent was established prior to 1840, when it was run by Mrs Mercy Barton and acquired circa 1850 by Harrison & Taylor. It was known as Kenward & Barnett from 1858 and Kenward & Court Ltd from 1871 (registered July 1888). In 1945 the site was acquired by Hammerton & Co. Ltd. of London, with 46 houses, The brewery ceased production in 1949.



Light foxing at banner named Kenward & Courts. Small oval spot affecting the letter E in Maltesers. Mount edges worn and mount with considerable discolouration.
