I believe it is the top of a dresser. Back steps in at bottom to suggest it sat flush. There are 8 small holes either side. I agree these would have been for hooks. No signs of any worm or repairs. The bolt and catch have been added at a later date. Some splits to the top. Has slight damage to one door. Height 78cm
