An early 19th century Russian 84 zolotnik and niello circular box and cover, assay master probably Alexei Torlov, Veliki Oustioug, 180?, the unmarked hinged cover with Greek classical scene depicting Poseidon, Athena and Victory, cut in relief, on a matt ground and interior engraved with the initial 'A', the base with similar scene of Hercules and the Cretan Bull, diameter 89mm, gross 6.2oz.
