An early 19th century French strung mahogany mantel clock, of plain form, with circular enamelled dial signed Dubuc, Rue du GD Hurleur, unsigned countwheel movement with silk suspension pendulum, 15in.

Case of good rich colour and fine state of polish, one fine crack running up through the front veneer just above the bottom arch, signs of re-gluing to the moulding around the feet, further short hairline cracks to the sides of the case, top brass finial a little oxidised, dial looks original but with a fair amount of cracking and some chipping to the right hand side, hands look original, unsigned countwheel movement with silk suspension looks original and complete although not tested for timekeeping, comes with a pendulum but no key.
