An early 19th century French oak box seat settle, with frieze drawer and cupboard flanking a box seat with central rising lid, W.6ft 2in. D.1ft 8in. H.3ft 2in. Condition: Overall of even mid brown tone although a little matted perhaps slightly bleached to the top, planking to the top and the seat has seperated and would benefit from clamping up, small stains, scuffs and water marks to the top commensurate with use, original lock, working key present for the cupboard door, panelling to cupboard door separating on the left side, a few old cracks and splits running down the sides, fair wear and tear to the feet
