An early 19th century Dutch walnut and floral marquetry bombe cylinder bureau, inlaid throughout with panels of flowers, flowers in baskets and cornucopiae, pull-out slide operating the fall and enclosing an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers with central tambour door over three graduated long drawers on swept bracket feet, W.133cm D.58cm H.122cm

Overall of good rich colour, the front perhaps a little faded compared to the top and sides, a number of small losses to the marquetry scattered throughout the piece and further short splits and liftings in the veneer throughout, interior with a number of splits running front to back of the slide otherwise good, mechanism working correctly, the piece has been cut level with the slide and the joint shows on both sides, both sides also have vertical splits running top to bottom, drawers are oak lined and are fitted with the original handles and locks but no key, a number of sections of veneer and moulding missing from the divisions between the drawers.
