An early 18th century banded walnut bureau bookcase with moulded cornice and single glazed door, over a slide, the fall enclosing a single drawer, over three graduated drawers, on bracket feet W. 2ft 4in. H. 6ft 6in. D. 1ft 8in.

Top left has small veneer split. Right side pint spattered (emulsion). Two patches of replaced veneer to left of fall, piece of moulding missing front right corner of fall. some replaced banding to all drawers, veneer missing each side of left bearer, second drawer has large piece of replaced veneer to right side. All feet have veneer losses, severe to front right foot.
Fittings look original although handle / escutcheons show gaps around the keyhole
Bureau and bookcase do separate from each other.
