Overall fair to good condition, the ivory in general has numerous fine hairline cracks and occasional deeper hairline cracks, one of which just crosses the left cheek of Madonna, there are several small chips most notably to the front edges of the Virgins robes and to the edge of her headdress, the whole is patinated lightly wearing through to white especially on the back of the base, there is a reasonable amount of original paint especially around the clouds on the base and the figures feet, there are also traces of the glue that presumably held the gilding.
