The hammer pulls back, clicks into one position, pulls further back and clicks into another. When the trigger is pulled it returns to its original position. There is a small piece of metal missing from the rim of the hammer. The ramrod is jammed possibly rusted in and has had the end sheared off. All the metal shows signs of rust. The stock and all other pieces of timber are scuffed and scratched, shows some minor losses at the joins. There is a number towards the end of the stock, it either reads 869 or 698
