An Emile Gallé walnut and marquetry two tier table, late 19th century, each shaped tier decorated with irises, on three channel moulded downswept legs, incised signature to lower tier and incised mark Deposé beneath the top, W.2ft 8in. D.1ft 11.5in. H.2ft 4in.

Slight downward bowing to top of table with series of surface scratches and fine dents, some rubbing to the varnish and some patches of damage to the veneers, notably the iris flower on the right side which looks like burning damage. Room is intact , but may need re polishing. Understage i good order and legs showing some surface wear at the base. Depose signature to underside of the top. overall fair order and will restore to good affect.
