An Elkington & Co champleve enamel and gilt metal mirrored plateau, late 19th century Diam 12in.

An Elkington & Co champleve enamel and gilt metal mirrored plateau, late 19th century on scroll feet, the frieze decorated with anthemions, Diam 12in.
Estimate £100-150

The silvering to one side of the mirrored plate is blemished. The rim has remnants of later gold paint with scratches off with a thumbnail yet the original gilding underneath appears to be intact. No damage to the enamel detected but it is a bit grubby. One foot is slightly loose but the screws could be tightened. The mahogany inset to the base has a few minor scratches, otherwise in reasonable condition.
