Overall of a light gingerish golden tone, perhaps a little sun faded but evenly to the top, veneers of the top showing small undulations with more notably a split running from one side to the other and another shorter split parallel to this, underframe in better condition and of richer colour, lions mask handles are later, locks have been replaced but no key present.
