Overall in honest untouched original condition, fair state of polish with a gingery reddish mahogany tone, some small nicks, dents and scratches throughout the piece which would benefit from repolishing, a water stained ring in the centre of the top showing as whiteish bloom, mechanical action works when the cylinder is raised the writing slide comes forward, interior equally honest and untouched, one drawer knob is loose, inkwells are missing, there are some ink stains to the back right and the skiver is very worn but could be restored, more notable rubbing and marking around the edges of the apron with one small loss of veneer, further denting and scuffing to the legs with much of the moulding missing from the upper section of the left leg, castors look original, some wear to the gilding of the handles, overall an honest piece in need of some cosmetic restoration.
