painted throughout with floral motifs and panels depicting classical muses and putti, with two panelled doors over three short drawers, cylinder fall enclosing pigeonholes and drawers and a sliding writing surface over three further draws on squared tapered legs, fitted brass casters

Condition:
Overall in good original condition, with a rich golden toffee colour throughout. Some short splits in the two panels of the upper doors, showing above the muses head on the left and below the muses feet on the right. original lock with working key, doors in close a single removable shelf. The other locks are all of a highly complicated parent type and no key is present although nothing is locked shut. The cylinder has some cracks running in from both sides, these show as blackish lines there is also a little craquelure in the paintwork. Interior has some old ink stains, the green skiver is probably later but still of good quality with a little minor scuffing. Lower right drawer has a compartment with concealed latch. Minor rubbing to the sides of the legs.
